Welcome to my visual diary. My name is Ryann Reyes and I am from Cebu, Philippines. I am a lover of natural light and photography is an ongoing and consuming passion. I also run this SUPER AMAZING BLOG in my spare time.
I wanted to try something new. Something I never had before. It’s shaved on the sides but still very thick on top. I know lots of people have this haircut, but I really want to try it on myself. It’s very refreshing since I have the same old look since forever. Personally, I really like it on me. And if I’ll get tired of this, at least I know that my hair will just grow back.
Obligatory photo post! This is a late birthday gift to myself. I got 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I’ve been eyeing this book for a long time now. I’m glad I finally have my own copy. And from what I’ve gathered, I hear this is really good. Excuse me while I nourish my mind with words and get lost in 1984 Japan.
It’s that time of the year again. And I’m so happy that I’m spending Christmas with my beautiful and loving family. Being with them after an entire month of work is the best feeling in the world. Also, since I’m in the Christmas mood, I made the photos look like Christmas Cards. I wish I could print this out and send it to all my relatives and friends. Anyway, I reflected on a lot of things today especially with my daily bout on materialism. It’s really not about what you get, but it’s about who you’re with on Christmas.
I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
I recently came to a point wherein I had to choose between sticking to my original plan of being an unpaid nurse here while waiting for opportunities abroad and exploring other career options. I had to choose the latter. So far my experience with my new found career has been nothing short of fun. Plus for the first time ever, I’m actually getting paid for just showing up. In hindsight, I really wished I did this a long a time ago. Although this is just temporary. My original plan will have to be put on hold until I gather up enough resources in order to put it in full swing. Here’s to the bridges and detours that life gives us!
This isn’t exactly a cinegraph like the one Jamie Beck makes. This is just a bunch of frames I got by putting my cam on burst mode. But I’m really proud of this. This is like an animated snapshot of my window seat view from my trip back home to Cebu. 30,000 miles up in the air never looked this good.
This was my window seat view when the plane was hovering above Cebu City. This was taken when I went home from my little trip to our nation’s capital. Manila was awesome and all, but there’s really no place like home. You know what they say, you can take the boy out of Cebu, but you can’t take Cebu out of the boy.
Hello. I just went to Manila for Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012. But now, I’m finally back here in Cebu because I have obligations from my grad school. I had the most amazing time there. I haven’t been online that much or postig a lot here because I’ve been busy editing all the photos I took for fashion week and I’m also making write up’s for Runway Passport with Nicky Roa. But expect a lot of Philippine Fashion Week related post very soon.
I’ve met a lot of new friends and reunited with old ones. I was also lucky enough to meet all the people that I look up to in the world of Philippine Fashion. I am so proud of all the amazing and talented Filipino designers that we have right now.
As for now, I will leave you with this photo of my front row seat view. I will post many more runway photos and personal outtakes from Fashion Week very soon.
