I took another another bite at digital double exposure wherein I merged two photos of a cherry blossom tree from Beijing with a portrait of my cousin, Alvarica. I just love breathing new life into old outtakes. It’s almost therapeutic.

photojojo:

Earlier in the week we posted about our awesome guide to shooting double exposures! We also asked you guys to try it yourself and to tag your double exposure photos with #photojojo!

After what seemed like hours of scrolling, we finally chose these three double exposure beauties as our favorites!

From left to right, top to bottom:

These photos were all outtakes taken at different times in 2012. They were recycled and grouped together to create this. The first one is a botched firework photo with my brother’s head. While the other one is a silhouette of my cousin looking at the sea with condensations from outside my window. I’m glad I didn’t delete them. I guess they were really meant for each other.

UPDATE: I’d like to give a huge THANK YOU to Photojojo for featuring my own photo as one of their Favorite Double Exposure Photo. Check it out HERE!

My first attempt at digital double exposure. The trees were taken from my trip to Beijing. And that’s me inside my room here in Cebu, photographed by my brother. Also, it’s a metaphor for all the thoughts and plans that’s been growing inside me.
